Intro to Birding

Join us at ABNC for an Introduction to Birding! During this hike, expert birders will teach you the basics of birding and show you how much fun it can be!

Know before you go

  • Reservations are required

  • Pricing- $15 for members and $18 for nonmembers

  • These hikes are designed for ages 12 and up

  • The maximum capacity of the hike is 8 people

  • We recommend that you bring water, insect repellent, a hat, sunscreen, and hand sanitizer

  • Please wear rubber boots or waterproof shoes and long pants

  • Closed toe shoes are required on the hike. Participants without proper footwear will not be able to participate

  • The hike will be 2 to 3 hours

  • Please bring your binoculars!

Payment of fees is needed to complete your registration and is non-refundable unless the program/class/activity is cancelled by Armand Bayou Nature Center (ABNC) staff. If ABNC cancels for any reason, you will be given the option of applying the fees to another program or a refund.  

If you must cancel, please notify ABNC at least seven (7) days prior to the program/class/activity. If you inform us at least one week before, we will issue you a credit voucher for the full amount of your payment that may be applied to another ABNC program fee or a membership. Any non-attendance or cancellation less than seven (7) days will result in the full charge of the fee. ABNC does not give cash refunds.
