Weekend Bayou Safari Tours

Experience Armand Bayou Nature Center on a guided outing! Begin the tour observing wildlife from the elevated boardwalk. You will visit our animal ambassadors in the lobby of our newly renovated Environmental Learning Center. Then board our electric vehicle and leisurely explore the riparian forest down to the bayou, over to the prairie, farmhouse, and finally to the bison.

Teachers can earn 2 SBEC hours for participating in this activity. Please indicate when booking that you would like to receive SBEC hours.

Know before you go

  • The maximum capacity for each tour is 16 people

  • We recommend that you bring water and insect repellent

  • We recommend that you wear long pants for the safari tour

  • Closed toe shoes are required. Participants without proper footwear will not be able to participate.(No Sandals, Slides, Crocs, etc.)

  • These tours are for ages 5 and up

  • Accommodations available for those with mobility issues

  • Reservations are required

Cancellations:
Payment of fees is needed to complete your registration and is non-refundable unless the program/class/activity is cancelled by Armand Bayou Nature Center (ABNC) staff. If ABNC cancels for any reason, you will be given the option of applying the fees to another program or a refund. A minimum number of five people is required for the tour to go. You will be notified the day prior if the minimum number has not been reached.

If you must cancel, please notify ABNC at least seven (7) days prior to the program/class/activity. If you inform us at least one week before, we will issue you a credit voucher for the full amount of your payment that may be applied to another ABNC program fee or a membership. Any non-attendance or cancellation less than seven (7) days will result in the full charge of the fee. ABNC does not give cash refunds.
