Wrens are small birds with huge voices. Difficult to see even under the best conditions, their call is an intricate melody that can mesmerize a drifting kayaker into a different world. The mouth of Horsepen Bayou is a marsh wren hot-spot and ideal for paddlers (or Pontoon Boat Eco-Tourists) who come to hear their floating calls in every direction in the early morning hours.  This biological hot-spot contains acres of restored marshes, planted by ABNC, which provide critical habitat for numerous marsh-dependent bird species.
