ABNC offers workshops for Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts to earn a variety of badges. Girl Scouts register for classes through the SJGSC. Cub Scouts, please call 281-474-2551 ext 13 to register.

Leader and co-leader are no charge; all others are $3.00 payable at the Admissions office.

NOTE:  Badges are not included with the workshop fee.  They can be purchased at any Girl Scout shop.  All work involves indoor and outdoor activities.  Work shops are rain or shine.  Girls must wear closed toed shoes, NO Sandals or Flip-Flops.

All workshops at Armand Bayou Nature Center have a minimum number of 10 scouts and a maximum number of 25 scouts. All classes are taught by CPR certified instructors and all materials are included in the price.

Overnight Camping-Nature Adventures

Note: The overnight camping program is currently being restructured and unavailable at this time. Please check back soon for more information.

Heighten your senses as you explore the three-eco-systems of Armand Bayou Nature Center: Bayou, Forest, and Prairie. Travel the trails of our native ancestors. Listen for owls and frog calls, while looking for signs of deer, armadillos and raccoons. Observe the artistry of nature in patterns, webs and grasses.

Two 45-minute activities are included with your reservation. You can choose from the following:

Guided night hike, Recycled craft activity, Star gazing and/or a Reptile Demonstration

*Additional activities such as hayrides, catch-and-release fishing, and canoeing are available by reservation and extra fees will apply.
