Hazardous Beasties Safety TrainingWorried about the "hazardous beasties" in your backyard and beyond?  Learn to identify and avoid poison ivy, venomous snakes, black widow spiders, and other potentially hazardous plants and animals in the Houston area.  See some of Armand Bayou Nature Center's live reptiles up close, and discover how to safely work alongside nature.

Audience: This class is intended for adults, including teachers and those who work outdoors.  Previous attendees include: Exxon Mobil, City of Seabrook, and City of Houston Public Works employees.  Upon completion of the safety training, participants will receive a certificate.

Scheduling: Classes may be scheduled for weekdays Tuesday-Friday between 9:30am and 3:00pm.  Each program is 2 hours long.

Call 281-474-2551 x 14 to make a reservation.  Once we receive your reservation, a confirmation letter will be mailed or emailed to you.  Please make a reservation at least two weeks before your desired program date.

Fee: $250.00. A $25.00 processing feel will be withheld on all cancellations.

Payment: A deposit of at least 50% of the fee is due two weeks prior to the event. Full payment is due on or before the day of the program. Please make checks payable to Armand Bayou Nature Center. Credit and debit card payments can be taken over the phone.

Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellations must be made at least 1 week in advance to receive refunds.
