ABNC Educational Information
An important part of Armand Bayou Nature Center's mission is to provide environmental education to our neighbors in the surrounding communities. As such, ABNC delivers a broad variety of educational programs on a regular basis. School groups can enjoy field trips featuring various nature or historical subjects. ABNC offers outdoor nature camps each summer and winter, scout programs, and community outreaches. On a regular basis, ABNC staff and trained volunteers conduct numerous informal educational activities at the nature center including: guided trail hikes, animal demonstrations, turn-of-the-century crafts demonstrations, and canoe and pontoon boat trips.
